Section Maks Pleteršnik Folksingers cherishes Slovene folk-singing and investigates the ways of singing from the times of Maks Pleteršnik. Maks Pleteršnik was namely a respected singer in the church of St. Michael in Pišece. Throughout the year, the Maks Pleteršnik Folksingers take part in various social events in their local area as well as all around Slovenia. In Pišece they also prepare workshops for our participants who always show interest in folk-singing. They have already issued and presented their CD named Pišece, preljubi moj kraj – Pišece, my beloved hometown for everyone who loves folk-singing and the accordion.
